Facebook makes it easy for users to deactivate their accounts, but that doesn’t get rid of all of the user’s personal information. Deactivated accounts are still saved on Facebook’s servers, which includes, photos, friend lists and other personal information. If you want to truly leave Facebook to never go back again, you’ll need your account deleted permanently. Follow these steps to have every trace of your Facebook existence wiped clean from the social network site.

Shut down loan sharks for good
June 6, 2009THE phenomenon of the loan shark and its attendant problems are not new. However, the situation has now deteriorated to truly intolerable levels, as victims are not only harassed and threatened but also kidnapped and abused.
The public has a right to know what is being done to rectify the situation, since just about anyone’s friends, family members, relatives or colleagues can be victimised.
Loan sharks have even been known to target “wrong” people when they intimidate individuals through mistaken identities.
The people expect and deserve appropriate laws to be passed for public protection. After that, the authorities are responsible for the effective enforcement of those laws.
Although the official stand is that action is being taken to curb the menace, there is a simple way for the public to know if enough is being done. If there continue to be hapless victims at the mercy of loan sharks, then the authorities have not been doing enough.
Managing multiple sclerosis
June 5, 2009As today is the first World Multiple Sclerosis Day, this article is dedicated to all sufferers and their care-givers.
MULTIPLE sclerosis (MS) is a condition in which there are multiple areas of scarring in the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. This results from patches of inflammation that affect the nerve and the protective myelin sheath which surrounds it and functions like the insulation around an electric wire.
Myelin is necessary for the electrical impulses to travel along the nerves in a proper manner. When MS occurs, the affected nerve cannot function properly. After the inflammation clears up, the nerve functions properly. Repair of the myelin occurs only in the early stages of MS. With each episode of inflammation, scars may form (sclerosis) and over time, the nerve gets permanently damaged.
