A GYNAECOLOGIST in Singapore has been suspended from his practice for two years for having sexual relations with a female patient and divulging infomation about other patients to the woman.

He also altered the records of these patients without permission, according to Sin Chew Daily. His suspension is effective from February last year.

The 44-year-old doctor, who specialised in in-vitro fertilisation, had committed the offences between April 2003 and March 2005.

He was also reported to have bribed the female patient with about RM216,000 after she threatened to reveal their affair to his wife.

He left Singapore in December 2005 to practise in London where he was also suspended in January this year.
