SELAMAT BELAJAR & SELAMAT BERJAYA

Pelajar cemerlang akan:

2. Merangsang kesemua deria dalam pembelajaran. Kajian menunjukkan bahawa:
-kita ingat 10 % apa yang dibaca
-kita ingat 20% apa yang didengar
-kita ingat 50 % apa yang didengar & dilihat
-kita ingat 70% apa yang dicakapkan
-kita ingat 90% setelah dipraktikkan

3. Belajar secara aktif dengan pen/pensil ditangan.

10. Berbuat baik dengan guru. Setiasa hormati dan sayangi guru.

11. Mempunyai teknik membaca yang betul:
-duduk dengan tegak & bernafas dengan betul
-memberikan tumpuan sepanuhnya
-menggunakan jari telunjuk untuk membaca
-menyesuaikan kelajuan membaca dengan kesukaran bahan bacaan

12. Sentiasa mengawasi pencuri waktu belajar iaitu angan-angan kosong, bertangguh & malas.

13. Membaca doa penerang hati setiap kali selepas sembahyang, sebelum mengulangkaji, dan sebelum menghadapi peperiksaan.

14. Tidak membuang masa dengan belajar ketika letih.

15. Berehat sebentar setiap 20 minit mengulang kaji.

16. Belajar mengikut waktu yang sesuai dengan diri (study according to your biological clock). Walau bagaimanapun, perlu tahu waktu-waktu yang sesuai untuk belajar iaitu sebelum tidur, selepas bangun tidur, selepas mandi air panas, selepas baca al-quran/zikir selepas riadah dan selepas berdoa.

17. Mengulang kaji secepat mungkin. Ulang kaji ringkas selepas belajar (kita akan lupa 80% selepas belajar).

18. Mengulang kaji secara bersendirian atau berkumpulan.

19. Tahu mengulang kaji adalah aktiviti pembelajaran terpenting sebelum peperiksaan.

20. Mengulang kaji pelajaran berulang-ulang kali.

21. Mengulang kaji apabila mulai terlupa.

22. Tahu petua mengulang kaji
-baca doa penerang hati
-catat/lakar
-semak semula ketepatan maklumat
-ulang sebut atau ceritakan pada orang lain
-buat rumusan
-jawab soalan
-tampal maklumat yang rumit di dinding
-baca doa tanda kesyukuran selepas belajar

23. Tahu memberi ganjaran kepada diri sendiri selepas belajar seperti membaca surat khabar, melawat rakan dan sebagainya.

24. Tahu petua-petua agar tidak lupa:
-jangan makan kepala ikan
-jangan makan organ dalaman
-jangan minum semasa makan
-banyakkan makan kekacang
-pakai minyak wangi ketika belajar atau menghadapi peperiksaan
-jangan makan sehingga terlalu kenyang
-jangan kencing berdiri

25. Tahu kemahiran mengingat:

31. Membawa nota ke mana-mana sahaja (kecuali ke tandas).

32. Pelbagaikan tempat belajar.

33. Menyedari guru-guru adalah sumber ilmu yang baik. Tanya guru apabila tidak faham

34. Menjadikan nota-nota menarik seperti membuat corak, menggariskan isi penting dan sebagainya.

35. Ciri-ciri pelajar cemerlang:
-taat kepada Allah
-mendirikan sembahyang
-menghormati kedua ibu bapa dan sentiasa mendoakan mereka
-hormati & sayangi guru
-bersungguh-sungguh dalam melakukan kerja untuk mencapai kecemerlangan.
-suka pada setiap mata pelajaran yang dipelajari
-membantu rakan yang memerlukan
-berdoa dan bersyukur kepada Allah
-sentiasa bertawakal

Semoga bermanfaat. 🙂

Guidelines for women bosses spark outcry

PETALING JAYA: The dust on the gay guidelines has barely settled before a new one has surfaced this time, directed at female bosses.

The guidelines (pic) are listed in the Health Ministry’s MedikTV Facebook page and feature eight “tips” on how to be a “good female boss”.

It was uploaded as a photo link but has been taken down at press time.

The tips, written in Bahasa Malaysia, advised women to “banyak berbincang dengan orang bawahan, khususnya pekerja lelaki” (have many discussions with your subordinates, especially male workers).

It also advocated they “pandai mengambil hati orang bawahan” (be smart in winning your subordinates’ hearts) and “jangan menunjuk ego kuasa di depan orang bawahan terutama semasa memberi arahan” (don’t flaunt your ego and power in front of your subordinates, especially when giving orders).

However, the ministry has been quick to express its strong disapproval of the photo, with Deputy Health Minister of Malaysia Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin saying MedikTV had apologised for the post.

“It has also given a guarantee that all posts after this will not be prejudicial in nature or side any party,” she said in an SMS.

Rosnah also stressed that the guidelines had not been published by the ministry and had nothing to do with “any of the concepts or campaigns introduced by MOH”.

MedikTV also posted an apology on its Facebook page, stressing that the posts were not ministry policy.

“This is our responsibility. All feedback should be channelled to us without involving other parties,” it said.

An online news portal reported that the Information Department had also shared the photo on its Facebook page on Tuesday.

However, both links on the MedikTV and Info Department’s Facebook pages had been removed at press time.

Facebook users had described the guidelines as sexist and discriminatory.

Baby thrown out from 3rd.Floor

Tuesday September 18, 2012

Baby was alive when thrown

Whisked away: The woman covering her face as she’s led from the Petaling Jaya magistrate’s court.

PETALING JAYA: The newborn baby girl was still alive when she was flung out from one of the upper floors of the Desa Mentari flats on Malaysia Day.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said post-mortem results revealed that the baby died of severe head injuries. “A 20-year-old woman has been remanded for seven days to facilitate investigations,” he said, adding that police had classified the case as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

“Initial investigations reveal that the woman is not married and gave birth on her own while alone at home on Sunday,” he said, adding that she was involved in a relationship.

A resident of the flats, S. Chandran, 37, who came out to inspect the baby girl’s remains, said her umbilical cord was still intact and there was blood on the body.

“When I took a closer look, she looked like a cute girl,” he said, adding that the side of the baby’s head was crushed from the fall.

Chandran, who has been living there since 2003, said a mentally-disabled boy had also fallen to his death at the same flats several years ago.

Based on witness accounts, police searched several floors of the flats and arrested the 20-year-old woman on the third floor.

It is learnt that the woman’s family told the police they were unaware that she was pregnant.

Rape victims can’t get pregnant?

The long-discredited notion that rape victims cannot become pregnant—a claim that pushed Republicans to repudiate one of their own US Senate candidates—dates back centuries to when human reproduction was hardly understood.

But the medieval theory has surfaced in 21st century political discourse as a result of the US abortion wars. Writers from the Middle Ages and modern politicians alike have based their arguments on the idea that a trauma of the magnitude of rape can shut down the body’s reproductive system.

The combination of misunderstanding and cherry-picked science even led some to conclude that a woman who says she was raped yet becomes pregnant must have been lying about the attack. Modern proponents of the claim repeat it despite empirical research showing that rape victims are at least as likely to become pregnant as women who have consensual sex, and possibly more likely.

Representative Todd Akin, the Republican candidate for the US Senate in Missouri, spurred new outrage on the subject when he told a St Louis TV station he does not support abortion for rape victims because “if it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.”

Akin, a member of the House science committee, apologised for his statement, calling it “ill conceived” and “wrong”. Senior Republicans scrambled to distance themselves from the comments a week before the party holds its presidential nominating convention in Florida.

The claim that rape is unlikely to lead to a pregnancy has “no biological plausibility”, said Dr Barbara Levy, vice president for health policy at the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. The claim is “not grounded in any physiology or scientifically valid data”.

Akin is not alone in his view about rape and pregnancy, however. It dates at least to medieval times, when a 13th century English legal tome called Fleta asserted that pregnancy was prima facie evidence against a charge of rape, “for without a woman’s consent she could not conceive”.

A 19th century book, Elements Of Medical Jurisprudence by Samuel Farr, said that conception is unlikely “without an excitation of lust, or the enjoyment of pleasure in the venereal act”. That reflected the common notion that pregnancy requires a woman, like a man, to reach orgasm during intercourse.

Both early references were noted by The Guardian newspaper in a blog post. In fact, “human … female orgasm is not necessary for conception”, explained a 1995 paper in the journal Animal Behaviour, one of many studies reaching the same conclusion.

In more modern times, the rape-pregnancy claim seems to have been linked to the fact that stress can decrease fertility. “Mental stress can temporarily alter the functioning of your hypothalamus—an area of your brain that controls the hormones that regulate your menstrual cycle,” explains the Mayo Clinic in a publication about infertility. “Ovulation and menstruation may stop as a result.”

But the stress that reduces fertility is the chronic kind that occurs over months or years, not the acute trauma of a rape.

“A woman who is raped at a vulnerable time in her menstrual cycle is as likely to conceive and retain a pregnancy as a woman who was voluntarily attempting pregnancy,” said ACOG’s Levy. “There’s absolutely no validity to any sort of theory that the trauma related to rape—or to any thing else for that matter—would shut down ovulation that has already begun.”

Physicians and researchers had long thought that conception occurs when sperm encounter an already-waiting egg. Recent research has shown that in fact sperm do the waiting, remaining in the woman’s uterus or fallopian tubes until an egg is released from the ovaries.

Although the trauma of rape might impair a woman’s fertility months or years later, said Levy, “you’re not going to interrupt something (like the release of an egg) that’s already started.”

Numerous studies support that. In a 1996 study in the American Journal Of Obstetrics & Gynecology, researchers surveyed 4,008 American women for three years. Among women in their prime reproductive years, 12 to 45, five percent of rapes resulted in pregnancy, mostly among adolescents.

One-third “did not discover they were pregnant until they had already entered the second trimester”, the researchers found, concluding that “rape-related pregnancy occurs with significant frequency”.

It may occur with greater frequency than after consensual sex. Indeed, evolutionary psychologists—who seek to explain human behaviour by imagining what actions might have helped our ancient ancestors survive and reproduce—say the reason rape has been so endemic throughout history is precisely because it often leads to pregnancy: men who commit that crime, goes the argument, were more likely to have progeny, passing along their “rape genes” to the next generation.

While the explanation for rape has been discredited, the fact that rape often leads to pregnancy has not been.

In a 2003 study in the journal Human Nature, researchers found that 6.4% of rapes in the hundreds of women they surveyed caused pregnancy; that compares to a rate roughly half that with consensual intercourse. In Mexico, rape crisis centers have reported that some 15% of rapes cause pregnancy.

The rate may be high because rape victims are less likely to be using contraception at the time of the crime than are women in a relationship, who can also choose to forego sex during fertile periods in their reproductive cycle if they do not want to conceive.

  • Luminita Perijoc, 30, had already forced cabbie at knifepoint to have intercourse and perform oral sex
  • But she flew into a rage when he refused to satisfy her again
  • Police say her behaviour may have been down to medication she was taking
A Romanian taxi driver claims a sex-crazed Angelina Jolie lookalike passenger stabbed him after he refused to satisfy her for a third time.

Femme fatale: Angelina Jolie lookalike Luminita Perijoc, allegedly stabbed a taxi driver after he refused to have sex with her for a third time

Nicolae Stan told police stunning Luminita Perijoc, 30, had already forced him at knifepoint to have intercourse and perform oral sex.

He claims Perijoc had asked him to help her with his bags but once inside her apartment she demanded sex.

When he refused she allegedly pulled out a knife and forced him to undress.

Police investigating his claims say the Perijoc’s behaviour may have been down to the fact she was on medication at the time.

Mr Stan said that his life has been made a misery by pals ribbing him about the fact that he had turned down the beautiful double of the Hollywood star.

He said: ‘It is terrible. I am now a local celebrity, every one is talking about me.

‘They don’t understand why I refused her, but they do not know what it is like to have a mad woman yelling at you at knife point.

‘They look at her, then look at me an laugh. But I think anyone would find it impossible to perform with a knife at their throat even if they were with Miss Romania.’

‘She asked me to help with her bag but when we were upstairs she got me in to her kitchen and told me she had to have sex with me,’ claimed the married dad-of-three.

‘I think she wasn’t used to anyone saying no because she flew into a rage when I declined. She took out a knife and forced me to undress and have sex with her.

‘But she wasn’t satisfied and wanted sex again.

‘When I refused she attacked me with a knife, and forced me to have oral sex with her but she still stabbed me,’ he added.

Friends told local media that Perijoc is a huge fan of actress Jolie and models herself on the Tomb Raider star.

Mr Stan says he only escaped when he managed to barricade himself into a bedroom and dial 999 on his mobile phone.

Police say he was taken to hospital with more than half a dozen stab wounds.

‘We are interviewing both parties to discover what could have happened,’ said a police spokesman.
