SHAH ALAM: A 55-year-old ‘bomoh’, convicted of rape, appealed for a lighter sentence but was hit with an enhanced sentenced jail term and more strokes of the rotan.
Mohd Ikrar Munjeet Abdullah was sentenced to 20 years in jail – the maximum jail time provided for the offence under Section 376 of the Penal Code – and 10 strokes of the rotan.
He had been sentenced to 15 years in jail and six strokes of the rotan after a Sessions Court found him guilty last year of raping a lab assistant (then 22) at unit D-G-17, Blok D, Apartment Dahlia, Taman Bunga Raya, Bukit Beruntung in Rawang between 11 am on Dec 13, 2008, and 9am on Dec 14 the same year.
The victim had sought treatment from the accused to dispel ‘illness’ and ‘bad luck’. However, instead of treating the victim, the accused raped her six times.
At one point during her ordeal, the woman said she was hungry and, when the man went to get her some food, she jumped out of the apartment unit, naked.
She took some clothes that was hung to dry on a line (ampaian kain) to cover herself and pleaded for help from a woman passing by with her child. She was taken to the nearest police station.
Mohd Ikrar, who was unrepresented, read his submission for a lighter sentence from the accused dock.
“According to the medical report, semen was not found in the vagina and on the mattress. The doctor’s report also said it is possible for the victim to inflict tears on her vagina.
“I did not do what was accused of me,” he said.
DPP Fazillah Begum Abdul Ghani said semen was not found because the accused carried the victim to the bathroom and bathe her each time after he forced sex on her.
High Court judge Justice Nurchaya Arshad, in her judgement, said there was no reason for the court not to believe the victim’s testimony.
“The accused had clearly taken advantage of the victim who was seeking treatment. He strangled and threatened the victim to get her to comply to his desire. Submission can happen because of fear, force or deception.
“The Sessions Court made the conviction based on facts and the law. Because such crimes are rampant nowadays, this court is increasing the sentence,” she said.

Seremban: Seorang bomoh berusia 48 tahun ditahan kerana memperdayakan empat wanita yang mengikuti rawatannya dengan menjadi isterinya melalui upacara pernikahan batin.Dia yang berasal dari Kuala Lumpur mengenakan syarat, pesakit perlu membayar RM200 dan menjadi isterinya selama 100 hari, kononnya bagi membolehkan mereka melakukan hubungan seks.
Mangsa dipukau
Bagaimanapun, dalam kes sebelum ini, mangsa mendakwa mereka dipukau ketika bertemu lelaki yang berlagak alim itu dan hanya menyedari dirogol apabila tersedar dalam keadaan berbogel.
Bagaimanapun, lelaki terbabit ditahan Bahagian Penguat Kuasa Jabatan Hal Ehwal Agama Islam Negeri Sembilan (JHEAINS) di rumah seorang mangsanya di Kampung LBJ Labu dekat sini, jam 12.30 tengah hari semalam.
Ketika ditahan, dia hanya memakai seluar dalam dipercayai bersedia untuk melakukan hubungan seks dengan wanita berusia 24 tahun yang sudah berkahwin itu.
Dapatkan rawatan kerana masalah zuriat
Ketua Bahagian Penguat Kuasa JHEAINS, Ahmad Hussaini Mustapha, berkata suspek ditahan hasil maklumat awam.
Siasatan mendapati mangsa menemui lelaki itu untuk mendapatkan rawatan kerana masalah tidak mendapat zuriat selepas lima tahun berkahwin, katanya di sini, semalam.
Guna ayat suci al-Quran
Beliau berkata, lelaki terbabit didapati menggunakan ayat suci al-Quran bagi meyakinkan wanita yang menemuinya untuk rawatan berkaitan kemurungan dan masalah rumah tangga.
Katanya, kes itu disiasat mengikut Seksyen 49, 50, dan 77 Enakmen Jenayah Syariah Negeri Sembilan 1992 iaitu mencela agama Islam, menggunakan ayat suci al-Quran secara salah dan memperdaya serta melarikan wanita untuk seks.
Ahmad Hussaini berkata, jika sabit kesalahan dia boleh dikenakan denda maksimum RM5,000 atau penjara tiga tahun atau kedua-duanya.
Lelaki itu menjadi tangkapan pertama membabitkan aktiviti nikah batin di negeri ini akan dihadapkan ke Mahkamah Tinggi Syariah Seremban.
Gulp! Ladies, here’s a bit of news that might “blow” you away! Oral sex is not only good for your health but it also makes you feel happier, according to a State University of New York study.
The Daily Mail quoted the study, saying semen elevates mood, ups affection, induces sleep and contains at least three anti-depressants. The researchers, who surveyed 293 women, claim that women who have regular unprotected sex are less depressed.
Semen contains spermatozoa, cortisol, which is known to increase affection, estrone and oxytocin which elevates mood. It also contains thyrotropin-releasing hormone (another antidepressant), melatonin (a sleep-inducing agent), and even serotonin (antidepressant neurotransmitter).
Also, women who engage in unsafe sex are less prone to depression. The research suggests it’s not just about the sex, but how happy women are might be related to the amount of semen within their body.
Sexually active heterosexual women, including promiscuous women, who used condoms were just as depressed as those practicing total abstinence. This suggests it is semen, not just sex, that makes women happy.
But you can’t have one without the other, right? Well, that’s debatable.

Teen gets probation for sex with minor
He was 15 years old and she was 12 when they first had sex three years ago, in 2009.
Over the next eight months until April 2010, they did it eight more times at staircase landings in blocks of flats near their secondary school in Jurong. He would also punch and slap her whenever they argued.
On Tuesday, the teenager, now 18-years-old, was placed on probation for 18 months by a district court.
The teen is not named as it could lead to the identification of the victim.
He was also ordered to serve 100 hours of community service and his housewife mother, 61, and sister, 31, an administrative assistant, agreed to place a S$5,000 (RM12,000) bond to ensure he will abide by the conditions of the probation.

Pasangan pelajar sebuah institusi pengajian tinggi awam (IPTA) berusia 19 dan 20 tahun itu kali pertama ditangkap berdua-duaan di sebuah rumah sewa di Taman Mahsuri di sini, jam 12.05 tengah malam kelmarin, dan dicekup kali kedua di sebuah motel murah di Taman Ehsan, dua kilometer dari lokasi pertama kira-kira jam 10 pagi semalam.
Sumber pejabat agama itu berkata, mereka ditahan ketika serbuan dilakukan di rumah sewa pelajar perempuan dan ketika pemeriksaan dilakukan pasangan itu berada berdua-duaan dalam sebuah bilik, manakala seorang rakannya tidur di bilik berasingan.
Pelajar perempuan itu berasal dari Kampung Sungai Korok di sini dan rakan serumahnya belajar di semester pertama sebuah IPTA di sini, manakala teman lelakinya yang berasal dari Kampung Teluk Malik, juga di sini belajar di sebuah IPTA lain.
Sumber berkata, sebaik menerima laporan, sepasukan anggota penguat kuasa pejabat agama membuat pemeriksaan dan mendapati pintu rumah itu berkunci dari dalam.
“Selepas mengetuk pintu dan memberi salam, pintu dibuka remaja perempuan yang berpakaian lengkap dan membenarkan pemeriksaan dijalankan dan hasilnya mendapati dua motosikal, termasuk motosikal lelaki itu diletakkan di ruang tamu rumah bagi mengelak dikesan pihak berkuasa,” katanya.

A woman of 47 has been jailed after having sex with a 15-year-old boy in her Jeep.
Married Susan Millman sobbed as she admitted twice having intercourse with the underage lad — once after he sneaked out of his bedroom window.
She had also flashed her chest to other boys and offered sex via a webcam.
Millman first chatted to the 15-year-old on Facebook and he “unburdened” after rows with his mum.
But she then commented on his “good looks” and began bombarding him with sexual texts, Grimsby Crown Court heard.
Prosecutor James Byatt said: “There were so many he asked her to stop it when he was at school.”
Millman told police they had only kissed, saying: “He’s bubbly, like me.”
Jailing her for 18 months, Judge David Tremberg said: “You were in a position of trust.”

A man from Hong Kong is scared to death after a prostitute with whom he had sex with, told him that she was a HIV carrier.
The traumatised Ah Seng (not his real name) said: “I will only know if I‘m infected after the three months window period. Even if I’m lucky, it has already scared the hell out of me,” he said .
Ah Seng, a broker, said he had been seeking sex services from prostitutes about once every two weeks over the past 10 years.
Last week, the married man he went to a prostitution centre in Wan Chai.
”A woman in her 20s opened the door. She had an accent that sounded like she was from the countryside.”
“She was wearing a pink maid’s costume. She was quite sexy and beautiful and had a good figure,” said Ah Seng, who paid HK$500 (RM197) to the woman. After having sex, the woman suddenly laughed and told him: “He he, got you! I have Aids.”
The shocked Ah Seng quickly put on his trousers and left the place.
“She looked very calm when she said she had poked holes in the condom I used. My heart almost popped out (after hearing that),” he said.
Later, he was even more shocked to know he was not the first victim when he related the story to a friend who had introduced him to the centre.
“My friend’s buddies who had sex with the woman a few days earlier were also told the same thing by her,” he said.
They believe that the woman, who had worked at the centre for since late last year, had only discovered she was HIV positive recently.
She has since gone missing.
Ah Seng estimated that over 100 people could have had sex with the woman who is believed to be from China.

Three Indonesian celebrities who allegedly appeared in sex videos posted on the Internet will be questioned over possible breaches of a new anti-pornography law, police said Wednesday.
Two explicit clips widely circulated online this week appear to show popular singer Ariel Peterpan having sex with television presenter Luna Maya, his current girlfriend, and model Cut Tari, his former girlfriend.
Six-minute and two-minute clips were posted on the Internet last Friday apparently showing him in bed with Luna in a hotel. They quickly made the rounds on websites such as Facebook and Twitter.
Another clip hit the Internet on Tuesday allegedly showing Ariel having sex with Cut, who is married.
The term “Ariel Peterporn” subsequently became one of the most popular searches on Twitter this week, beating hot topics such as the launch of the latest iPhone.
Chief police detective Ito Sumardi said the celebrities would be asked how the clips had appeared on the Internet, Agence France-Presse reported.
“We will question them to find out about the clips and how the videos were circulated in public,” Sumardi told reporters.
Luna is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations World Food Programme and has appeared in advertisements with Ariel for a soap made by Anglo-Dutch food and cosmetics giant Unilever. Cut endorses Sharp air-conditioners.
A spokesman for Unilever said the soap ads had been cancelled this week but denied the move was connected to the sex tapes.
Producing or distributing sexually explicit material carries a maximum penalty of 12 years’ jail under the tough anti-pornography law passed in the mainly Muslim country in 2008.

A computer technician was convicted and sentenced to jail for obtaining access to a computer with dishonest intent in Hong Kong. Ten people there were arrested in connection with the distribution of the photographs.
